Great breakfast nook featuring ample coffee, a variety of cereals, and fresh pastries to fuel your morning adventures. Convenient outdoor seating offers a relaxing spot to enjoy the view, particularly impressive during the fall with colors popping off Windham Mountain.
Driving up, I spotted a large Trump flag at the motel—definitely off-putting for some. The shared space around the office carries a strong odor of cigarettes, potentially overwhelming for non-smokers. I struggled with poor cell service and found myself wishing for a more connected stay. While the decor felt like a throwback to the '80s with wood paneling and shag carpet, it might not appeal to everyone.

The breakfast nook was cozy with good coffee and a solid assortment of cereals and yogurt—perfect for fueling up before hitting the trails! Also, the owners, Jean and Art, were super chill and made me feel right at home. The spot is clean as a whistle and has everything you need for a Catskill getaway.
Though I found it hard to get cell phone service—typical Android woes! —it didn’t put a damper on my stay. I mean, who needs their phone when you’re surrounded by nature, right?

Rooms are small but exceptionally clean and comfortable, making for an ideal spot after a day of skiing. The breakfast spread featuring coffee, muffins, and fruit is both convenient and cost-saving. The owners show genuine care, highlighted by their kindness in returning left items. A cozy atmosphere with lovely flowers adds to the charm but be aware of limited amenities like no blow dryers or toiletries provided, so pack accordingly.

A Cozy Retreat for Family Gatherings
Our two-night stay was delightful! The warm breakfast nook was perfect for gathering, and we cherished the evenings by the wood-burning stove with board games. Although cell service wasn't great, we truly enjoyed the stunning mountain views. I'd recommend bringing your own snacks for late-night cravings!

I had a great stay at Cave Mountain Motel. The room felt rustic yet charming with its wooden paneling and comfortable bedding. The breakfast nook offered a nice selection of cereals and delicious coffee. Sitting outside with a view was peaceful, especially in the morning. The owner, Jean, quickly made me feel at home. The location is fantastic—only a short drive to Windham Mountain. One downside was the thin walls. I could hear neighboring conversations, which was a bit disruptive at night. The Wi-Fi was spotty at times too. However, the cleanliness and cozy vibe definitely made up for those issues.
